Gama is a venture backed company building sails for space, initially to deorbit spacecraft with drag sails, and subsequently to unlock access to Deep Space with solar sails.
Protect our planet - The rapidly growing space economy already provides important benefits to humanity, for communication, positioning, earth observation and climate science. However, it is at increasing risk of collisions that would close this valuable shared resource. We must protect it. Gama’s first product is a fully autonomous deorbitation drag sail, allowing satellites to accelerate their natural orbit clearance, and operators to easily meet new space sustainability regulations.
Expand our presence in deep space - We have now conquered Low Earth Orbit, and set our eyes on the opportunities beyond. Space agencies and private companies are racing to the moon and beyond. Solar sails allow us to unlock ground-breaking science and valuable commercial opportunities at a fraction of the cost of traditional propulsion.*
